Had a fabulous meal here and so cheap! £15 for a 3 course meal and glass of bubbly! Pity it was not in Essex and I wouldn't have to travel to go more often.

If you work in London and you feel you've earned a treat at the end of a busy day's dealing then trot along to Fora in Hounsditch: outside the bustle persists in pubs overflowing with bankers and buyers, inside it's calm, light and indulgent. Very attentive waiting staff welcome you enthusiastically and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We enjoyed our starters, mezes with hot bread, but we were amazed by the delicacy of the mains. The meat was fragrant, generous and impossibly tender, cooked to perfection. The desserts were also beautifully served, gorgeously rich and very moreish indeed. I think that Fora wouldn't be so much fun at the weekends because the city closes down late Friday night and doesn't reopen until Monday - and in Hounsditch it really shows. However, I'll definitely be visiting Fora again.
